Moncton rockers The Motorleague are launching a video for the catchy-as-hell tune “Hymn for the Newly Departed” from their recent album Black Noise. The video is due out on Wednesday, Sept. 30, but above you’ll find ‘League drummer Ryan McDonald giving EastCoastNoise a special little introduction to the video.
The video was shot last fall at The Manhattan in downtown Moncton with dozens of local music fans helping out. I won’t spoil it for you, but I’ve seen it already and it’s pretty damn cool.
In related news, the band will be performing with Montreal bands Priestess and Trigger Effect when they hit the Maritimes in November. You can see The Motorleague next week, on Friday, Oct. 2 at a Forward Music Group showcase along with Sleepless Nights and Share at The Paramount in Moncton.
Check back mid-week for more on the band and for the video itself. In the meantime, check out the hilarious “Bouctouche Blend” video above.
Happy weekend,
Eric
